The hostage deal recently announced will take place in phases over a 42-day process. This timeframe matches almost exactly the six-week period of Shovavim that began this week. 

33 hostages are to be released (24 of which are believed to be alive), also significant numbers, matching the days of Lag Ba’Omer, marking the end of the plague that killed the 24,000 students of Rabbi Akiva.
